The reason why I moved into the field of care was originally due to a passion of sport and performance I wanted to know how I could get the most out of my body, as time went on I realised that without the mind the body was not able, and without spirit the mind became weak. I embarked on my own healing journey through anxiety and depression I was not okay and I knew I both wanted to be and could be. From years
of self-journeying the journey became the destination. Things began to make sense and the deeper side of being human surfaced, that we all suffer. The understanding of the words of the buddha that we all suffer, there is a cause of suffering, there can be an end to that suffering and the way to get there is the truth of that path that leads there.
So the deeper aspect of what motivates me now is from a sense of compassion that we all feel that there is a commonality in that feeling and that when understood it can be used to transform so the drive is to empower people to their own journey to health in whatever way possible.
I am particularly interested in the field of trauma and how it gets locked into the body. How we are able to unlock ourselves through creating a safe environment within. Through acceptance and not normalisation. I believe that there is an underlying intelligence within all living systems a harmonious ebb and flow the closer we are to this the greater health occurs, when we are out of harmony with this flow disease and dysfunction. The key understanding is looking at the resonance and if it is aligned we bring in health and if not dysfunction ensues and that the major cause of deep dysfunction are the emotions and our inability to process them.
